Disaster Strikes a Russian Armored Column
While motoring from factories in the Attic Military District to various staging points to be painted in Russian Green, a column met with disaster. While responding to warnings of air attacks, the column made a wrong turn and drove off a cliff. Below is a photo from a German Recon JU88 taken shortly after the carnage.
Vehicles can be seen in an assembly area waiting for workshop personnel to have time to repair them. Stavka estimates that the vehicles will soon be ready to return to the front to try to stop various German breakthroughs. The Column commander, Col Butterfinger was relieved of duties and quietly retired.
Tough break!
ReplyDeleteOh wow. Sorry buddy! That's not unlike the time my 15mm fantasy models got beaten to bits on the drive to a game convention. My first hour at that con was in the hotel room with a bottle of superglue getting everything back in order for the game I was to host the next day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ski! It's all good in a way. Anything that cannot be put back together, will just have a battle damaged look. After almost 60 years of gaming, most of my stuff shows damage anyways.
