Disaster Strikes a Russian Armored Column


While motoring from factories in the Attic Military District to various staging points to be painted in Russian Green, a column met with disaster.  While responding to warnings of air attacks, the column made a wrong turn and drove off a cliff.  Below is a photo from a German Recon JU88 taken shortly after the carnage.




Vehicles can be seen in an assembly area waiting for workshop personnel to have time to repair them.  Stavka estimates that the vehicles will soon be ready to return to the front to try to stop various German breakthroughs.  The Column commander, Col Butterfinger was relieved of duties and quietly retired.

    Oh wow. Sorry buddy! That's not unlike the time my 15mm fantasy models got beaten to bits on the drive to a game convention. My first hour at that con was in the hotel room with a bottle of superglue getting everything back in order for the game I was to host the next day.

      Thanks Ski! It's all good in a way. Anything that cannot be put back together, will just have a battle damaged look. After almost 60 years of gaming, most of my stuff shows damage anyways.

Plot plan and buy

  PLOT PLAN and BUY When the wife tells you to curtail your hobby activities, especially your painting, it doesn't signify the end of the world.  You can still plot and plan and when the iron is hot you can strike and buy for the future. I had wanted to add some large terrain pieces to my collection for a long time.  I was surfing various sites and came across Parabellum Miniatures.  Various buildings that they offer, are perfect for what I wanted. I purchased the above building and a couple of smaller ones that will be used as part of the Confessor's compound in Konigburg the Capital City of Dahara in an ongoing imaginary campaign.   I may not be able to paint it now, but it can go into the queue for when I can pick up a brush again.
