First Regiment of Foot Receives New Designation

Master Kardeef has magnanimously granted the 1st Battalion of the 1st Regiment of Foot the new title of 

"Praetorians"  This was granted during a meeting of the Order of The Prophet on March 14, 1803.  The 

battalion posed for court photos after the announcement was forwarded to the northern frontier. 

 

The uniform is based upon Bavarian Napoleonic uniforms of 1815.  The coat is Daharan Blue for other ranks and Black for officers.  The first regiment has red facings shown on lapels, cuffs and turn backs.  

Companies are distinguished with colored plumes.  Grenadiers are of red, Light are of green and the other

companies are of light blue. 

Battalions are distinguished as follows:

1st Bn. red, green and blue

2nd Bn. red, green and light blue over dark blue

3rd Bn. red, green and light blue over white

4th Bn.  red, green and light blue over grey

5th Bn. red, green and light blue over yellow

Knapsacks are lambskin. bread bags are leather.  All webbing is white.  Helmets have brass fittings and chin scales.  A large comb is of black wool for other ranks and Bearskin for officers.

The official photos are still being carried from the northern front.  The delay can only be explained by a nefarious brigand by the name Server J. Error.  When this despicable person is captured and handed over to the Confessors for punishment, the photos will be recovered.
