Small scale of the week.  Here we have a 1/700 scale C-5A of the modern Daharan Army Air Corps.  This joins the fleet of the Transport Company.  To the right of the plane is a 1/700 scale 150mm gun of the Imperial Artillery.  It was in one of Pit Roads kits that I purchased 20+ years ago.  To the left is a 6mm GHQ command post carrier.  This one is not camouflaged as it will  the Medic track for my combined arms unit for modern micro armor games.  Still have to paint the Medic symbol, but that will come later.


In this photo, we have the start of two Shotte units for the Thirty Years War.  Nothing more to say until the units are done.


Here we have the start of the 1/5th Line Regiment for my Neapolitan Napoleonic Army.  I have other units already done, but I decided to rebase all of my vast Napoleonic collection, going from 3 figures per stand, 4 stands per battalion to 4 stands of 4 figures.  This however is a completely new regiment of Perry plastics.  I did not start new units until I recently received the command spurs that I needed to complete the new units.



This photo is of figures that I needed to paint for my Grand Duchy of Kleve  Berg.  Again I had to wait until the command sprues to arrive.  When the bases are done this will give me the Duchy's full military force.  I plan on doing a showcase after they are done.

Although this post is late, more painting has been done for the next week's post.  output will slow, as with my shaky hands, I can only do 6 28mm figures at a time as I only have six painting props to work with.

 Time for an Introduction I started to war-game with a friend in Jr High School back in the 1960's.  We made good use of the toy department at WT Grants Department Store.  In those days, ROCO mini tanks were sold for around 50 cents.  They also had plastic 1/72 scale planes and model ships.  We did it all for the 3 years in Jr High.   I continued wargaming all through high school and then entered the ROTC program in  college.  There I met Joe Fish ( pancerni@fish tales.blogspot) and began a friendship that has lasted since 1970.  A tour as an Infantry Officer in Germany led to a lot of solo games. Uniforms of Dahara 5

  UNIFORMS OF DAHARA 5 2nd Lancers The 2nd Lancers were formed at the behest of the Junior Deacon of the Order of the Prophet.  These lancers were recruited from the Capital city of Konigburg, and were taken from third sons of wealthy merchants.   Their uniforms are based on the colors of the ceremonial robe of the Junior Deacon.  It consists of white coats and breeches.  Facings were of light blue shown at collar cuffs and turn backs.  They also had a light blue stripe on the outside of each leg of the breeches.  Saddle blankets were of Daharan Blue with white striping.  They wear a light blue topped  czapka with white edging and a white cross on the top.  Solid light blue plumes are worn at all times.  Trumpeters wear reversed uniforms, with light blue coat and breeches with a white stripe on the legs. THE IMAGINED DAHARA   I have made the decision to treat this iteration of Dahara as a separate entity.  In this way, I can keep the "Magic and Fantasy" aspect that I have introduced into our campaign.  I can then keep the "real" Dahara somewhat sane.  Here then is a map of the Dahara of the imagined campaign.  This Dahara is ruled by the Master of Dahara, supported by the Order of the Prophet.  The current Master is Benjamin Kardeef  the head of the House of Kardeef.   The next post will be as soon as I can.  I will have to take a break pretty soon, as I will be getting a new and improved metal knee. If I can, I will post photos of the 1st Regiment of Foot receiving a new color in recognition other service in the recently completed war against the evil K und K.
